At the heart of PSICT 2010 is a two-day conference programme comprised of strategic keynote speeches, as well as two distinct workshop streams, one analysing efficiency strategies for turbulent times, and the other examining cost-saving technology implementations and solutions. Over the course of the two days that you will spend at PSICT 2010, our panel of expert speakers will examine the major strategic, implementation and technology issues and uncover ‘best practice' and leading edge transformation projects to tackle the key challenges that public sector ICT professionals are facing in 2010, including:
More for less: or how to deliver an IT on a reducing budget
Implementing a shared service to cut costs and improve customer service performance
Driving the business to exploit ICT
Realising the benefits of public sector ICT projects: a case-study from Lancashire County Council
Delivering local government services in the way citizens want and cost-effectively
Delivering mobile data into the East Midlands (Police Collaboration) One-to-one meetings
To enhance your learning and networking experience at PSICT, as part of the programme, you will attend one-to-one consultation meetings with those solution providers that offer the technologies and services involved in the conference case-studies and have experience of operating similar projects. These consultation meetings are arranged by mutual selection and can save you months of work on your purchasing decisions, because you will meet several hardware and software suppliers in one place, over the course of the two days.Who should attend?
PSICT 2010 has been designed for senior decision makers in public sector ICT, who are seeking to implement new solutions for the first time to achieve cost-efficiencies or upgrade their existing solutions to modernise. This two day event has been produced specifically to help you:
• Meet and learn from the heads of ICT of public sector organisations, who are currently involved with delivering the Government’s cost-saving agenda as well as modernising to deliver improvements to frontline services• Hear first hand accounts of award-winning technology implementations and transformation case-studies in the public sector
• Attend practical workshops during which you can raise your ideas and concerns
• Find out about the latest available services and solutions
The programme has been specifically designed as a cutting edge forum for those organisations that are planning live projects or upgrades within the next 3-18 months.
In addition to the two-day conference, current government ICT challenges will be discussed in a series of one-to-one consultative meetings with solution providers.
